Nando Alvarez-Perez at Center for Photography at Woodstock (CPW)

Congrats to Nando Alvarez-Perez on his inclusion in Give Me One Good Reason for Leaving the House, which opens this Saturday at The Center for Photography at Woodstock. The opening reception will run from 3:00-5:00pm on August 15, 2026.

Curated by Colin Beattie, the exhibition poses the earnest, if not unsettling question: Is home still a safe place? "In the long shadow of the pandemic, our ideas of home have mutated. While we were sheltering in place, cultural wildfires raged and our social fabric began to fray. Our institutions failed to prevent the return of autocracy. Now, as the scale of our polycrisis becomes clear, algorithms flood the zone with nostalgia and misinformation."
